Hi DISers,

My DD3, DD1.5, and my mom (DM?) were at H&V for the character breakfast (10:10 ressie) on 12/8 and it was awesome! The character interaction was fantastic -- JoJo, Golliath, Leo and June all made multiple trips to our table. The restaurant seemed to be about half full, so I know that makes a big difference with character time. Since my kids are so small, we weren't as caught up in getting an autograph (we did with Leo and June, I don't think Golliath can sign, right?) so they just played with the kids. At one point my DD1.5 made a run for the door and Leo cut her off at the pass. It was so cute, she just stopped in her tracks and they hugged.

The food was fine, a good selection and the buffet seemed to be replentished often.

Overall a great experience for us. We did Chef Mickey's on 12/11 (also a later ressie 10:50) and while it was very good as well, the characters have so many tables to go to, they only have time to sign your book, take a picture, and then they are off. Don't get me wrong, we very much enjoyed it and it was worth every penny to meet the main characters without waiting in a long line :cool1:

Happy character meals to everyone! Hope this helps if you were on the fence about H&V :thumbsup2

I absolutely agree with everything you said. We went to both those places that same week and had very similar experiences. Goliath was begging my dd8 for food, LOL Leo thought he was my dh's long lost brother, it was awesome.
Chef Mickey's was fun, my kids loved it... but it was more stressful and chaotic and just not quite as much fun IMO.

Here's my dh with his new BFF, Leo.

Love it! My DH was a little bummed that he skipped Little Einsteins once he heard what it was like. I can't post pics yet (too low of a post count yet), but I have a great video of my DD1.5 just groovin' in her high chair to the "Celebrate" song at CMs.
