This was a off site stay and due to being rained out a few times we ate at the resort more than we had planned. Below is what we did have in the world and what we thought. When I dine with my father It tends to border on the boring side. He is not an adventurous eater.

Sunshine Seasons: The Black Forest Ham Sandwich. Excellent flavor. This was snack so we shared. Milk and water. Would buy again.

China counter: Egg Rolls. Great little snack for two for the price.

American Pavilion: Two orders Double Burger's and fries. One Chicken Basket. I was surprised. I thought it would be more mediocre than it was. The chicken was surprisingly tasty, the burger OK and the fries nothing special. The topping bar was just adequate. Apple Juice, water and that "not so good" coffee they serve. I knew better but I wanted coffee. Now!

CP package Rose & Crown: Shrimp Cocktails for myself and Brother. Excellent. This is not your standard Shrimp Cocktail. Would like the recipe for the sauce. My father had the Lamb/Barley Soup and really liked it. Warmed him up. The filet with horseradish sauce and fish for my brother. He thought it had great flavor and cooked to order. My father had the Chicken Pastry. He thought the pastry dough a little too thick, but liked the flavor of the chicken inside. I had the Bangers and Mash for the first time. Turned out just what I was in the mood for. Excellent sausage and cabbage. The mashed potatoes tasted instant but were still OK. The cheese biscuits were good too. Desert was Guinness cake all around to go. Great little treat with coffee next day.

The plan was to see illuminations from here. The higher level outside tables had the plastic dropped down due to the cold. The lower level outside tables were closed due to cold. We secured a table outside under the plastic with the heaters for dining. When the show begin we were able to stand at the rail or sit on the lower deck outside. The location and show were fabulous. The christmas illuminations show is over the top!

Epcot Kiosk: Pretzel. I should say Giant pretzel. A little mustard with a kick would be nice.

Prime Time: Brother had the shrimp cocktail. He said it was so so, but the sauce was good and spicy. Father had the onion rings and pronounced them very good. He liked the dipping sauce. I thought it needed a little kick. I had the Herb Cheese and Flat Bread. Very good. Brother was in the mood for salad. He ordered the Caesar and was very pleased. Asked for extra dressing. Father had the meat loaf, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Ate every bite. Said it was good because it had a tomato sauce on the meat loaf and had lots of flavor. I had the chicken pot pie. It was excellent. Ice tea all around.

The interaction started out promising but fizzled fast. You could tell our server was just not in the mood. So we just enjoyed the meal and atmosphere without the usual "entertainment".

MGM Kiosk: Dinosaur Gertie's ice cream. Really good and creamy soft serve.

MGM Streets of NY: Pop Corn, 5 million lights, and snow! A wonderful way to end our trip.

Did not make our ADR's to O'hana or Cape May due to weather. Maybe next time.

Side note: We ordered Pizza one night from Giordano's. Not sure if they were having off night or the regular pizza maker did not show, but this pizza was awful. We ordered a 14 inch, pepperoni, sausage, onion, black olive. All we tasted was cheese and black olives. We are not fans of "White Pizza", but this is what it tastes like with no flavor. The top of the cheese was covered with black olives, very little of anything else which was under the cheese and no sauce except a tiny amount around the outside edge Terrible, I tell ya'. At $29 plus tip it was a poor choice.

Aside from that experience we enjoyed what we had in the world!
