Hi. I see all these little girls dressing up, but what does anyone do with their little boys?

ODS will be 3.5 yr. Any ideas for him? :confused3

Well, either really. I've gone on 2 cruises before we had kids and you'd see the little girls all dressed up as princesses.....hate to say it, I didn't pay much attention to the little boys. But now I have 2 boys who will be 15 months and 3.5 yrs on our cruise in March. Just wondering what people dress their little boys in.....do they dress up for dinner as characters like the little girls do or only just for fun while onboard? I know you don't HAVE to dress them up, but I don't want them to feel left out either.

Khaki or dark colored pants and a polo shirt look nice on a little boy.

saw a couple peter pans....and my Grandson wore his pirate outfit on pirate night, along with the daughter wearing her pirate queen captain and the granddaughter wearing her asian pirate queen outfit...me, just a wench!!

There are a couple great prince halloween costumes out there too... and some beautiful ones on etsy too. I think we might go that way.

I don't think they would feel left out. At least mine wouldn't. My son is usually pretty oblivious to how others kids are dressed. We had him in a pirate costume on pirate night, and a formal boys outfit on dress up night (black dress pants, black vest, mint shirt and tie) (he hated that formal outfit!) :)

I got our 2 little boys a 5 piece suit brand new with tags from e-bay for $14.00 each. My boys are 4 and 6yrs old but I saw some for infants as well... so cute!

My son is super excited to wear his Wall-E costume on the cruise. I think he may look a bit odd among the princess dresses, but he's happy and so I'm happy! ;) He's also going to dress in a Jack Sparrow costume and *maybe* Capt Hook if it still fits.

Bump? Anyone else have little boys who've already been on a cruise? What did they wear?

Our son loves nothing more than looking just like his dad. He has always been like this. Always wanting to wear a formal suit etc.,

He has now just turned 13 and I have started letting him go to school functions with his own choice and not me suggesting that this item would perhaps be more suitable. (he has very strict dress code at school) We always thought that he would prefer to be more relaxed when out of his uniform but he still amazes us by choosing to dress very smart.

I am going to let him choose on his own clothes for the cruise in the Med :worship: with no interference from me :sad2: what he wants to pack.. Only time will tell as he gets older if he may rebel but at the moment he prefers tobe smart in a suit.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Not sure if you mean costumes or formal night????

More like costumes I guess. IF we decide to do formal night, we'll all be dressed less formal anyway. I don't want to go out and buy everyone all new clothes like we did on our other cruise.....spent way too much money to only wear the clothes once, was uncomfortable and would rather spend the money on a cabana.

I know I can always dress the kids in pants and collar shirt, but was wondering if other people dress their kids up in costumes either for play on the ship, to dinner or the shows like I see the little girls dressing up as the princesses.

We plan to bring a Jack Sparrow costume for my 7 yo DS and Cap't Hook for 4yo DS. Other than that, just Disney shirts, and bathing suits.

Costumes are pretty easy and we have done that with the kids. All my GK's including GS when they were under 10 wore costumes every night except formal night. If you buy a them little big, it will probably be great for Halloween.

We cruise a lot so I found a tux for my age 5 GS from another cruiser whose son had outgrown it. She shipped it to me and when he had outgrown it, I passed it on. That was the reason for my question. We have great pics of my DH, SIL and GS in their tuxes. Priceless!!

We've done three cruises with our two boys and always did just pants with polos except for semi/formal nights where they did suits. The only night that they wore a costume was on pirate night. I did not notice any boys in costumes on other nights, but it's possible that I missed them! Enjoy your cruise!!!

Cool pirate costume for pirate night

Bought a tuxedo on ebay cheaper than I could have bought anything else. Passed it on to another family.

bought ds matching polos to dh.
