Got a question for you all. My fiance thinks i'm NUTS but every time we talk about or vist the Land pavilion in Epcot I always talk about the song that I heard in 1986 called "listen to the land." Everyone from my family who went in 86 remembers the song, even my grandmother and can hum it to this day.

However, I've never come across anyone else who has heard this song?!

I KNOW we are not crazy. Does anyone remember it?

Let's listen to the land we all love/
Nature's plan will shine above/
Listen to the land, listen to the land.
When Springtime comes/how can you tell?
The world is filled with good old orange blossom smell/
And summertime/ the warmest sun shines/and the world is filled with flowers and good melon rinds.
Let's listen to the land we all love/
Nature's plan will shine above/
Listen to the land, listen to the land.
When Autumn falls/it's a harvest show/
the North wind blowing all the seeds that it must sow/
In winter time/the rains must fall/till once again the new year and the Springtime call.
Let's listen to the land we all love/
Nature's plan will shine above/
Listen to the land, listen to the land.
The seasons come/and the seasons go/Nature know exactly what it needs to know/
The earth and man/ can be good friends/let's listen so our harvest time will never end.
Let's listen to the land we all love/
Nature's plan will shine above/
Listen to the land, listen to the land.

That's my 3 year old son's favorite song on any of our Disney CDs. Every day on the way to preschool he asks to listen to it!!
That.....and the Universe of Energy.:earseek:

I sure do remember it! Last time we were there was 1993. Thinking about it brings tears to my eyes as my father was there with us and loved it too. Are you saying they don't use it anymore?

you can catch them playing this and other classic and current WDW attraction songs on several of the Disney stations on live365.com. my favorites are Radio Buena Vista, Park Hopper Radio and Disney Rob Radio.

i listen all day long while at work.

Are you kidding? I love that song!!! Don't they still play it? I haven't been there in a long time, so I really don't know.

Most of the really good old songs from when Epcot opened are no longer used.
Listen to the Land is one of them.
You might hear it in an instrumental version as backround music as you walk around in the Future World part of Epcot, but you won't hear it in the Land ride anymore. The only song still around is Imagination (in a new version).
Some of our favorites that are no longer heard (besides Listen to the Land)
Energy, Horizons, Tomorrow's Child (from Spaceship Earth), Making Memories (from photo pre-show at Imagination's 3D movie).

I can't believe the songs you mentioned are no longer there!! Universe of Engery too??? I am glad that I bought the CD a few years back!

I'm the fiancé.

I would just like to clarify that I thought mymatisse was nuts because she sang just the ONE LINE of the song. "Listen to the land....listen to the land..." And it's not even that SHE was nuts. It's that it was driving ME nuts!!!!!

I believed her that the song existed. I swear!!!::yes::
