Our trip to Vero Beach is quickly approaching. Could all you experts give me a list of things to bring. We are flying into Orlando then renting a car. :sunny:

Are you asking about things like boogie boards, or things for the villa?

There is a concession that rents beach items, there's a discount for DVC members. There are grocery stores in the area for food.

I hope you have a most wonderful time, and wish I were going to VB soon too!

Bug Spray and Sunblock would top my list, also any boogie boards if you don't want to rent them. Swim goggle for kids.
Books to read by the pool.

don't let the thoughts on that connected thread scare you too much. I think lots of people react differently. We were bitten by lots of no-see-ums. While I had lots of bites, they didn't bother me other than to see them on my legs. They did not itch or bother me even as much as a mosquito bite. For us, the most annoying thing was knowing there was something on us, but not being able to see it. Granted, some people are more sensitive, but with bug spray you should be fine and maybe won't be bothered much just like we weren't.

VB is great!

this may be a little late for the op, but what we do is check in and then go to target and walmart for groceries, boogie boards, etc. this year we were there and the sand toys, beach umbrella's were on clearance and since we drove...

we also like to bring the pool noodle things, our own beach chairs, etc.

hope you had a good time! maggie

We just got back from VB this past weekend and all got bit. Someone told me that drinking lemonade or any other citrus juice helps to keep them away. In fact, now that I think of it, my son and I were the ones that were bit the least.

I would recommend packing cortizone to stop the itching--it helped.

I will jump in here .......BRING THE BUG SPRAY!!!! We just got back from Vero a week ago and I'm still full of little tiny marks where those darn no-see-ums bit me!! I was LOADED and it was really bad. My bites swelled up almost like chicken pox and the woman at the front desk told me I was definately allergic to them. She said some people have that reaction to the bites. And they itched like crazy!! Now my DH,DD, and all but one of the friends we were with got bit up, but she didn't have the same reaction as me. I guess they love my blood, but being from Michigan, so do the mosquitos here!

I would also bring swim rings for the ocean (innertubes) because my DD's friend didn't really like the boogie board but she loved being in the ocean with the innertube with her. I would also bring swim shoes for the ocean, your feet get pretty beat up with all of the tiny little shells. And of course sun-block, lots of it!! Just think beach-pool vacation and you will know how to pack! Its all very casual so I wouldn't bring too dressy of clothes. We had a GREAT time at Vero it is a wonderful, beautiful place. Have a really fun time!!
