I just realized that people I am cruising with have gotten there docs and while I havent, I never REALLY thought...just how close my cruise is and now I am starting to panic. Would one of you nice DIS'ers please send me the list of stuff to buy for your stateroom to make life much easier? I need to make a trip to Walmart or Target but dont know what I need....

To think...all this time I spend on this board and never took the time to print the list.

Thanks bunches ...... :earboy2:

It depends on your family size and needs.

We packed clothspins, clorox wipes, suction cup (we never used), bathroom air freshner. I think the lighter you go the better.

I think what you need somewhat depends on what Category stateroom you have. We were 3 adults (2 females) in Cat 11 the following were great:
Over the door shoe hanger for stuff in the bathroom - (I may take an extra next time for shoes)
Suction cup hooks
Power strip type extension cord
Collapsible ice chest (Thanks Efren for keeping it full of ice)
Small clock with LIGHTED face

I can think of nothing the staterooms needed. But apparently my family travels light. We had 2 suitcases and 4 small carryons for 4 people for a 7 day.
Everything we brought fit in the closet, in the built in shelves in the bathroom or in the the dresser. The 2 suit cases stowed nicely under the bed. We left the tub portion of the bathroom light on as a night light, and closed the door all but a crack. We used the Mickey wakeup calls for an alarm clock.

I would add a small nightlight for finding your way around in unfamiliar room. That way you don't wake people up triping over them, their stuff, or that coffee table in the middle of the room your forgot was there.

I really liked having the over the door shoe holder. I actually used it mostly for shoes, imagine that :D . I took an alarm clock, never used it and also clothes pins that I never used.

We used clothes pins for hanging the wet stuff over the tub on the string...could fit more on that way.

Never used the over the door shoe holder.

The electrical outlit strip came in handy so we could charge our cells, use blow dryers and such all at the same time, out of the bathroom area..where it was to humid right after a shower.

My basic have to haves...
an extention cord (one of those 8 place outlets)
a night light (if inside cabin)
a clock
a long, thin (mines crocheted) purse to put around by neck and arm to carry my seapass card, lipstick and a book. I love this.
a cheap suction container to put shampoo and cond in in the shower (too small to bend over in)

Go to,"All the best tips for cruising". There you will find the end all be all of things to and not to take. I have printed it out and am making a list of things that will be useful for myself and my husband on our trip. It's great. Good Luck!!!

If you are taking a plug-in type of air freshner, then take one that has a built in night light and a plug (so you are not taking up a socket that way). I found one yesterday that cost all of about $3.
