List of 5 must do food places ?? What do you get??

Storyteller's breakfast - order off the menu, no need for a buffet
Plaza Inn with the chicken to share
White Water Snack breakfast burrito; kind of tasty!
Club 33 - lunch with the chateaubriand
Club 33 - dinner with the chateaubriand

No particular order to the above.

Napa Rose - Anything. Even a cocktail and an appetizer. Love this place.

Cafe Orleans - Pomme Frittes, Monte Cristo. Sooo delicious.

Carthay Circle - Again, anything, but the Manhattan and the cheesey biscuits.

Red Wagon - Corn Dog

Dole Whip!

Those are my top I'd do every single time.

These are my top 5 restaurants and dishes in all of DLR, including the on-site hotels. I do want to note that I haven't tried any of the new DCA restaurants yet, and there are others that I have yet to try that are on my list for future trips.

1. Storyteller's Cafe at the GCH (four-cheese ravioli and charred Nebraska corn chowder)
2. Carnation Cafe (loaded baked potato soup). I haven't tried their sandwiches or breakfast yet.
3. Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe (chicken Waldorf on brioche, strawberry lemon cupcake)
4. White Water Snacks at the GCH (various breakfast items, chicken nachos)
5. Pacific Wharf Cafe (I always get the Sonoma chicken & apple salad, and my boyfriend likes the SF shrimp Louie salad. We always get the bread bowls on the side for later)

The hot link corn dogs at the Corn Dog Castle and the BBQ chicken baked potato at Troubadour Tavern also deserve notable mention, as does the jalapeno-cheese filled pretzel at Bengal BBQ, which is my favorite savory snack.

Thanks everyone so much, I appreciate all the suggestions. Getting really excited

Must-Do's for us include:
Plaza Inn- another vote for Fried Chicken:flower3:
Riverbelle Terrace- BBQ pulled pork and Mickey Pancakes for breakfast
Rancho Del Zocalo- just about anything..I want to try the fish tacos next!!
Taste Pilots's- The best burger to be found in the parks..Wild Bleu Yonder!!!

Well Goodness Golly!
I sat down to read this thread just before dinner!
MISTAKE! Now I fear I will need to add more days to my vacation simply to experience all these great food suggestions! :goodvibes

(Maybe I should go make some dinner first.) ;)

NTL, I am enjoying this thread. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Helpful thread!

I loved the buffet dinner at Storybook Cafe last time I was there. Liked the atmosphere at Blue Bayou but I think we're doing Cafe Orleans instead on our next trip. Still forming my list, hopefully when I come back from our next trip I'll have my list of 5!

Hmmmm I think I'm realizing that our staples are all outside of DL ;)

1. UVA Bar - The best French Dip sandwich and fries (I rarely eat beef).
2. Tortilla Jo's - a house margarita and chili rellano a la cart with some chips and salsa. (I tried the chili once as a meal w/rice and beans and I think they nuked everything and took the freshness away from the chili).
3. Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. DH cannot get enough of the NY steak carving station...he goes back multiple times. I like the salad variety.
4. Napa Rose chef's choice & counter. I talked about this experience for months to anyone who would listen. We went back the next year and just had a regular dinner in the dining room....it could not live up to the counter.
5. Ariel's Grotto dinner. This was a few years ago but everyone really enjoyed their food (Trip Tip and that pasta dish). I'd love to try it again now that princesses are back for dinner.

Honorable mention....the hot link corn dog in CA (DH has to have at least one each trip), Carnation Cafe (though they've taken away my favorites Croissant Eggs Benedict and 1/2 veggie sandwich and soup), Cafe Orleans (fries and salad).
