Hi All

I'm just mapping out our trip in prep to make FP+ and going through our ADR's I've realised I may have stuffed up massively

We are travelling with an 8 month old baby, I've not noted her on our ADR's, just two adults and two kids... To be honest, I didn't give it much thought, until now....

Will they supply a high chair for us when i've only booked for 2 adults and 2 children? Should I make a note in the accessibility section that we'll need a high chair in addition to the 4 seats booked?

you need to count the baby in the head count. Regardless of whether or not they will be dining due to fire codes they need to be accounted for. I would adjust your ADR's to include her

I agree. You need to adjust your ADRs. They will, most likely, seat you at a 4 top table. Highly unlikely that they could even fit a high chair at the table. Also, as stated, it's not necessarily the fact that she won't eat, it's a head count thing. All "heads" count. Even if she sat on your lap she counts. If you show up, with the extra person, you could be turned away. And charged a no show fee. It doesn't mean you will be turned away but you could. They might try and work you in, but you could be waiting. If you are going near Christmas, all restaurants could be fully booked.

Everyone, including infants, needs to be counted. You need to add the baby to your ADR's or you could well be turned away.
Good Luck

we didnt do that either...when we had visitors with us for the day...added adults but not the newborn..they adjusted it at the podium when we signed in...but to be sure call the dining number and tell them...

1) Could be a BIG PROBLEM.
2) They may not have room to add the extra person.
3) You are going at a busy time.
4) They must keep aisles clear and cannot just stuff a chair or highchair at the end of a 4-top table.
5) See my "411" below.

**********************************************************************************

THE QUESTION OF AN EXTRA PERSON or EXTRA PEOPLE (the "411"):
1) Disney is getting wise to the "but, they decided to join us" or "I miscounted".
2) People can't always get the ADR they want.
3) So, they under-count to get a table.
4) Then, they show up with "unexpected" additional people.
5) In a team meeting, CM's have been told to warn guests against this.
6) If there is room, WDW will not turn away revenue.
7) But, if busy, they will turn away the additions.
8) Go ahead and arrive with the extras, if you like.
9) Just be prepared to have someone stand around while you eat.
10) I have heard explanations such as . . .
. . . "but, Aunt Suzy decided to join us and we need an extra seat"
. . . "but, two friends from off-site decided to join us and we need a extra seats"
. . . "but, brother-in-law decided to join us and we need an extra seat"
. . . "but, the entire Boy Scout Troop decided to join us and we need 14 extra sets"
. . . "but, my baby is so small that I didn't count her in the number of eaters"
.
NOTE1: It is far easier going from an odd-number to an even number, such as from 7-people to 8-people, adding a person to an even number of diners, such as going from 6-people to 7-people. Adding odd person can mean adding a table, and this might not be possible. Going from an odd-to-even might only mean adding a chair or using an empty seat. So, if going from even-to-odd, you might not get the extra person a seat. It is always better to get another ADR with the proper people-count.
.
NOTE2: Frequently a party-of-two will try to add a third person at the podium. This can be risky, because many eateries do have tables-for-two. If the guest was slated for one of these, there simply might not be a table available to seat the third person - even if an infant. The extra chair location might extend into an aisle and block access for other guests or Servers.
.
NOTE3: Sometimes it is a threesome adding a fourth. Unfortunately, there are many eateries that do have 3-top tables - usually against a wall or pillar. They can't add a fourth chair, since that would invade the aisle and be unsafe for SERVERS.

So best way to add the baby, call the dining reservation line?

Call. And if you have some ADRs you can't get changed, call again and again. And keep checking on line for the ADR party size you need. Showing up with an extra person, even a baby, should be your very last resort. At Disney restaurants it isn't as simple as adding a high chair, there truly isn't room to do that. Good luck!

The problem with this is that now you will be going from a four top to a table for five. And yes, the baby will be considered a person with a space at the table because that's where the high chair will need to be. As stated, with fire codes, a high chair just can't be put at a table since it could protrude into an aisle. But calling should get you want you need/want. You might have to slightly change times but not a big deal.

I have five ADRs for our December trip, and my 3 year old is showing up differently on each of them. On one of them it says the res is for 2 adults and 1 child (which is correct), on three of them it says 2 adults and 1 infant, then on one res it has 3 adults. I have checked to make sure her age is correct in the main settings, and it is correct. I've tried to update the guests, and it still doesn't change it. That is what I see on the website. When I look on the MDE app on my ipad or iphone, it says party of 3. Is this something I need to worry about?

No. As long as the head count is correct you are fine.

My son's GF decided to join us for several days and I've been busy upping ADRs from 2 to 3 people on line and we are around 75 days out - it's been remarkably easy to find ADRs at the restaurants I want and in some cases my times are even better than the original ADRs. Of course I'm not trying for dinner @ BOG or the Castle or other super hard to get ones, but even moderately hard ones IME I was able to find.
