Lisa's Working Towards A Dream Journal...Please Comment!

Hi! I am 41 years old. I'll be 42 on November 1st. I've recently had a realization. I need to do something about my weight. If I don't, more than likely I'm going to have more health problems. With a family history of heart disease & diabetes, I think doing something now is better than later. Now, let's talk about motivation or the lack of motivation. I have enough motivation for myself to get started. In the past, I haven't had enough to keep going. My DH gives me the impression, he wants me to have enough motivation for both of us. I've told him...I'm sorry but I don't.
My DH is my best friend. He is there for me. However, he isn't the most supportive. I have 3 babies (dogs); Sebastian, Figment & Minnie; which I love very much. I'm putting this journal out there to look back at the progress I've made & look at the areas I need to work on. I also hope to receive feedback from my fellow DIS neighbors. I'll have something to look forward to...reading & responding to the comments my fellow DIS neighbors have made.
My goals are these...I want to lose 50 lbs. between now and September 1st. To do this, I plan on eating better & working out on a consistent basis to get in better physical condition. I'm going to keep a food journal so I have a record of what I've had. As I mentioned earlier, I can look back at the progress I've made & look at the areas I need to work on. I want to make healthier food choices.
Well, this is my introduction. I guess all there is left to say is...Here I go!
