Ok... I just need a little reassurance. I have read several not so good reviews on Lisa lately... I booked her months ago because of the great reviews she had back then... perhaps she was in a slump when some of the more recent brides got married... I would just like to hear some good reviews... especially recent ones and maybe some pics. THanks.

I had lisa in Aug and the only problem was that she some how thought that she was doing my whole bridal party the day of the wedding when she showed up at 430 in the morning but 2 days before when we did the trial run she knew and also none of the emails stated it was more than me. but other than that she did my hair just like the pic i gave her and the makeup was so natural it was perfect. best wishes

Not to add to the negativity- but she did the same with me. She thought she was doing me & my moms hair, and brought her assistant. She knew it was only me. I felt bad for waisting that other girls time and not paying her.

Happy- There are TONS AND TONS of people out there- more so than not- that just adore Lisa! She does do great work. I think I was just one of the very slim few who wasnt pleased. Im sure people will help you out and ease your mind about this!! I wouldnt have chose her unless I had heard all the A+ reviews.

shes an extremely nice lady! I would, however, be careful. If you want something that isn't the typical cookie cutter style, be sure to bring a picture. She tends to lean more towards the same style, no matter if it looks good with your face or not! I unfortunately didn't bring any pictures to my trial. While she did a fantastic job at the same typical style you see on her website, it wasn't for me. That was not her fault though. I am just making sure I am bringing tons and tons of pictures of what I want on the day!

Lisa did my hair and the bridal party and she did a fabulous job. I brought pictures of what I wanted and it wasn't a typical hair-do but it turned out exactly how I wanted it to. My girls wore their hair up and non of them had the "prom look." I recommend her, though I also recommend calling to confirm rather than e-mail. Good luck!

I had Lisa for my VR just a few weeks ago (November 6th) and I thought she did a wonderful job. I'm not a big hair and make-up kind of girl...I never wear make-up and my hair is usually in a ponytail so I didn't bring her a picture or anything. The only thing I was worried about was my hair was a little below the tops of my shoulders and I really wanted an updo but was afraid there might not be enough hair.

Lisa quickly reassured me that she would be able to get my hair up and picked a style that I loved. I don't have my pictures back yet but it was parted on one side and swept back with a lot of little tiny curls in a bun/knot in the back. It sounds weird in words but I loved it.

With the make-up she did an amazing job because it was just enough and even though I never wear make-up I felt very pretty rather than feeling overdone the way I do when I try to put make-up on by myself LOL! It made it through the whole day and even dinner that night.

So I would recommend her

Lisa did my makeup this last Feb. She took care of my family, especially my terminally ill mother. Thanks to her beautifying skills my mother was able to select the picture she would like to display during her wake. I think that spreading negative rumors about any person especially if we do not know them is very unkind, especially if the person feeds themselves with the money we pay. Let's face it we as brides think that people owe us the world because is our wedding day, communication is everything. Take the time to explain what you would like and have you make up available. She is a makeup artis not a miracle worker...

Welcome to the boards ! I see this was your first post and you are from Orlando. This post was also over a year old. Im sorry if you feel strongly that rumors have been spread about her. I don't remember reading any rumors. I remember reading reviews-- and I wrote one myself about how I was unhappy with my experience with Lisa on my wedding day. Just as others have wrote about their unhappy experiences with AfterHours, photographers, officiants, etc. That is what this message board is for.

I said before she that Lisa is such a sweet and wonderful woman. I know a lot of brides really liked her. I just gave opinion and some others did as well. I hope that you arent personally effected by this. I know this post was an old one and for this to be your first post-- it must hit home with you.
