Here are her tips:
1 Invest in a good camera

2. Snap some black and white

3. Tell the story behind the photos: A picture isn't worth a thousand words when it comes to scrapbooking. Writing about the story behind the photo's is as important as the pictures themselves. Remember to go beyond the who , when where why and what and capture the real emotion behind the photos. Also while computer fonts are a good thing, don't forget to use your own hand writting on some of you lay outs

4. try tearing A ripped jagged edge will always be in style. Remember ripping towards you will give you more dimension on the edge of your paper. Also if you want a white ripped edge use paper that hs been dipped in dye

5. Use vellum:Translucent paper adds a lot of persnality to a page only use vellum if you can see the texture, a design or text underneath it

6. add color with chalk

7 create texture with out the bulk: Textures will always be in but bulky textures will eventually ruining your scrapbooks. Great non bulky texture items I love to use are crumpled paper, twine and ribbon, mesh, embroidery floss and flat button, fabric and brads

8 Display memorablilia on your pages

9. Cut photos into basic shapes Remember the days when we cropped our photos into every shape possible? Those days are gone forever I now leave most of my photos in the original rectangular shape If I have to crop a photo I'll crop in into a square, circle or oval.

10. Stock up on cardstock

Those are her top 10. On the ones I thought needed more explaination I copied what she had written. SO it is her information.

Here is the web site she said you can have your hand writing turned into a font.

I went to the site but for the life of me couldn't find how to do that! Maybe you guys will have better luck!

Thanks for sharing this list of suggestions/ideas. From what I've read, you had a good time at the QVC event :).

Thanks for taking the time to type her tips for us, Spinning! :)

Chank fonts will make a font out of your handwriting, and they have tons of great free fonts, too. I've been using them for webdesign for years.

They call the service Go Font Yourself.

Spinning,
Thanks for the tips. It's always good to be reminded of the small things that make our scrapbooks better.
