Liquids on airline?

Okay, we are leaving ONE WEEK from today, whoo hoo!! Anyway, how does this work? Can I pack my shampoo and other liquid toiletries in my suitcase or do they go in my carryon? I am so confused We will be there for 6 nights, how can enough shamp/cond fit in a quart size bag for 4 people for 6 nights plus other things like lotion? Please help me pack!!

Pack in your checked luggage. I double bag mine in Ziplocks.

ETA: You can pack as much as you like as long as you check it.

I just pack my liquids in checked luggage and there's no problem. You can pack 3 oz containers or smaller liquids in your carry-on luggage but all liquids in your carry-on have to be in a Ziplock bag (one Ziplock per passenger) when they go through security screening.

I agree with everyone else. You can have shampoo or suntan lotion in your checked luggage. I agree with the ziplock idea too. They can be rough with your luggage and you don't want a bottle to open all over your clean clothes. Its only the carry on you have to be careful with. No more than 3 ozs and you put all liquids in a clear 1L ziplock bag and put it through the scanner seperately.

Whew, thank you so much for your quick replies, I was really stressing over this! We are in the process of moving into a new house, packing for our trip, AND working on my DS's party for Sun. Can you say overwhelmed right now, lol?
