We always fly out of Syracuse, and always have checked bags. This time I am going to try to get away with just carry on luggage. I know the rule about the 1 quart zip lock bag, and that each container inside must be 3oz or less. Has anyone had difficulty recently with containers marked only in metric? Something makes me think that when the rules first changed the emloyees at the American airports had trouble with the containers marked in millelitres instead of ounces. I have some products marked in both ml/oz but I don't want to bring stuff they will make me throw away at the airport.

There is a recent discussion on flyertalk.com with this. Basically, the consensus is that the limit is 100 mL. If there is a problem, ask for a supervisor. HTH!

Any idea if they sell Sun Screen in travel sizes? That's the only thing I would want to take in my carry on.

Coppertone sells a sunscreen that is 90ml . That is what we are taking with us in Aug.

We fly with carry-ons only and never have a problem with the liquid restricted rule. Walmart carries everything you'll need, 100 ml and under, for very good prices.

I am an Air Canada/Start Alliance Super Elite member, I travel to the US twice a month and have never had an issue, I use a clear Ziplock medium storage bag & the travel size products sold at Walmart.
