Are you allow to take liquid meds(benadryl) in your carry-on bag or will security take them?
TIA
Allie

You can take liquid meds (prescription and OTC) in your carry-on. Prescription meds should have the name of the passenger on it (although they didn't seem to check that last time we flew). Liquid medicines have to be placed in a bag separate from your other liquid carry items (unless they are under 3 oz. in size) and are not subject to the 3 ounce rule. You have to declare them, but that is simply telling the security person that you have medicines - no big deal.

We just got back and we took benadryl for our son. I had it in a seperate bag with the other meds and not a word was said to us about it. We didn't even declare that we had it, I forgot to take it out of the carry on.
