Hi Folks

Was thinking about going to see the Lion King show in Toronto, wondered if there are any promo's for discount tickets :confused3

Post here if you have any links or info, Thanks :thanks:

I believe that Broadway Across Canada will have a promotion--we have one in our area. You have to register and they send you a code in an email. Also, there may be a promotion in the Toronto Star.

Sorry to be a bit vague about this. The show is not my cup of tea, so I am ignoring the offers.

Thanks for the info, I tried to sign up, but they don't have Toronto in their list of cities :confused3

No Discount Info, but just wanted to add, I saw this show in Vancouver. We had wanted to see it for years. I had to choose seats in the top of the Balcony, it was the only way I could afford for all 5 of us to go. We LOVED it. I cried at the beginning.

It really kept to the movie, which for me made it even better, but it totally cracked me up that a guy behind me just howled at all the jokes I had heard 100 times in the movie already. It was funny to me that the Lion King was 'new' to anyone that paid to go see it.

I would go again in a SECOND!

We're going on the 6th of May to kick off our trip! I don't think we got any discounts but I didn't buy the ticket. (the only thing on the trip I wasn't in charge of!:rotfl:) but if we did it was a general loyalty club style thing.

My wife works for ScotiaBank so she gets a discount through www.gocore.ca. I think that it works out to about $20.00 off per ticket. We are going on May 8'th...but the funny thing about getting the tickets through gocore was when I was on the mirvish website I went to the top priced $120.00 tickets, and all that I could get was 20 rows back. But when I went to the discounted core site, I got them 7 rows back.

i would love to hear reviews on this show once you guys have gone to see it..
will wait to hear.

Will be going to see it, though I don't recall the date offhand. It will be my fourth time seeing it... I really love the show!

I saw it years ago in Toronto and this time I'm taking my husband for our anniversary at the end of the month. I'm pretty excited. We got box sets in the dress circle. Should be a lovely evening!

We are going august 29th in Montréal !!! Can't wait, but will be in DisneyWorld from august 13th to 20th , so it will help !

We saw it in Toronto MANY years ago and also in Rochester NY. We bought tickets for one of the Montreal shows in August this year. It was really nice since we got first row tickets for the category 2 price ($80 something plus taxes) WAY TO COOL!!! :thumbsup2 CANT WAIT!

Saw it last night with my hubby for our anniversary. It was my second time but his first. He's not a big musical theater fan however the artistry of this show won him over. He LOVED it. It is truly a spectacular show.

Same thing here, when i saw it in Rochester with my ex, he hated anything musical but loved the Lion king since its not your trypical musical and its such a GREAT show!:thumbsup2

No discounts, i still beleive it was some kind of mistake on the website since usually the closer you are to the stage, the more expensive the tickets are?!?!?!?!

We were debating whether to go ... couldn't get tickets last summer in NYC, and a neighbour was just telling me how the matinee seats were disappearing fast. I bit the bullet, and now we're all going in June! Can't wait to surprise DH and DD!

We've never seen the show - just excerpts on TV, and of course the small taste of it at Animal Kingdom.
