I just want to say if the Lion King Broadway show passes through your town don't hesitate to get tickets... I went tonight for my birthday and it was the most amazing show I've seen in a very very long time!! I am contemplating buying tickets for another show if I can find them so my hubby can see it since he couldn't make it in the end with me -- it was just that good that I'd see it twice in a short time frame.

So far The Lion King is the only Disney Broadway show I haven't seen, yet. I keep saying Disney needs to build a Broadway quality theater on property (say, right nest to WWoS) and present their different Broadway shows, changing every few weeks.

I keep saying the same thing, except at the Studios, on New York street! :thumbsup2

Lion king is great. :lovestruc
:worship:Julie Taymor

I got all giddy watching Scar.... does that make me a bad person? :littleangel:

Queen Elizabeth Theatre also looked wonderful... She's in the middle of a reno and it's looking great. I did like the fact I didn't have to travel to NY to see it; though I'd not have complained about a trip to NY to celebrate my birthday. :D

I <33333 Julie Taymor. And I've seen TLK twice. Both on tour unfortunately, but still quite amazing!!

No shame in a tour! In some cases, the talent on tour surpasses the talent on B'way!

Saw Heather Headley in Aida while the show was still in previews. Saw Paulette Ivory when the show came through Buffalo. She was leaps and BOUNDS above Heather!!!!! Which is saying a lot because I loved Heather Headley and feel she very much deserved the Tony that she won! :)
