links to other post in same thread

Hi I am trying to put together a planning journal. I would like to have a type of table of content that anyone following can just click on a link to bring them to a particular part of the journal. I'm probably talking in circles, I'm not very technical, so perhaps an example may be better. I would like this to be on my first post on my thread.

table of content for thread

how we met post 1
our courtship post 6
our engagement post 9
our wedding post 12
our honeymoon and my first disney trip post 14

etc.....
I hope that makes sense for what I am looking to do. My DH is a computer programmer, but mainframe, he couldn't figure out how. So, he would probably be able to figure it out if you could just guide him. Thanks alot anyone who can help.

To go to a specific post, just click on the post # on the right of the screen and then you can copy the url. Then just paste the link into your thread. This will only show that particular post, though. Someone may be able to assist you if you want the link to just jump to the post without leaving the current page. I have never seen that, though, so I don't know if it can even be done that way. Good luck!

thank you so very much. DH actually went thru a lot of trouble, but did figure out a way to do it. BUT it was WAY more complicated than just clicking on the post #. LOL We had actually tried clicking on the post #, but right clicked instead of left clicked. hahaha So, thank you very much, now i will be able to do it without calling in the hubby.
Now, I do have another question. I have seen some posts where the link address is hidden. In other words you could just click on the title of the post & it would bring you there. Do you happen to know how to do that?
