Linking VERY old tickets (~1989) to My Disney Experience?

If there was a finger scan or a signature required or a photo (really really old tickets!) associated to the old tickets, even with new media they have to be used by the same person. The CM will be able to tell when you exchange the tickets. If the tickets were not tied to a certain person then with the new media they will associate when first used with a finger scan. Some people will have old tickets tied to an individual, others will not. If the old tickets were never used then this won't apply.

The old partially used tickets I exchanged were originally issued after 2000 and before 2005. We wrote initials on the new ticket media so we knew who belonged to which ticket now. We knew for the old tickets because of the character pictures on them.

FWIW, you will not be able to enter AK with that ticket.

Please stop spreading this rumor. It is simply not true. Sure, the park didn't exist when the ticket was issued. But it's a park now. And any park ticket is valid admission.

That didn't use to be the case.

I don't believe that to be true. It's been a rumor ever since the park opened.

Well, kinda-sorta.

Guests who wanted to use tickets at DAK that were purchased before DAK opened had to pay an $18 upgrade fee...
but ONLY during the first 9 months that DAK was originally open.
That fee was no longer required after January of 1999, and older park tickets were/are accepted for use at DAK with no restrictions.
