We have 10 day non expire tickets that we bought many years ago and have not used yet. If we link them to our magic bands and only use a couple of days will the tickets be able to be linked then to the next reservation? Or should we just use the paper tickets (which I assume they will replace with a more modern version when we get there).

I called our Disney Vacation Club representative and she linked our paper tickets to the new Magic Bands for us. She even updated everything on the My Disney Experience page for us and told us all we have to do is wait for the Magic Bands to arrive in the mail a few weeks before our trip. Easy Peasy!!

The tickets aren't linked to my knowledge, they are just in your MDE account. You can scan the ticket bar code with your smart phone to add them to your MDE account.

We have AP's and tickets in our accounts, waiting to be used.

I think this is a really good question. We too have multi day non-expiring tickets that we have had for years. If we link the tickets to the MBs for this coming June trip but only use a few of the days we will get new MBs for our next trip. Will the tickets be stuck to the June 2014 MBs. We know we will have to relink them to the next trips MBs but will that happen automatically? Seems like a confusing process.

It's not really that hard. Your MDE account is your safe. You scan or input your tickets in your safe (MDE account). Your MB's allows access to your safe. You can change bands but your tickets are still in your safe. Your new MB's also allows you access to your safe where you are keeping your tickets.

Your tickets are not on your bands, they are in your safe, MDE account).

Thanks Bill. as always from you very helpful info and much appreciated. The safe thingy is understood but I think I left out a key piece of information for anyone to help me. Sorry... We have a 10-day NONEXP ticket and a 10-day NONEXP w/fun and more on it. They are all listed on the MDE Website. How do I make sure which one the MB is processing at the gates? Or how to I make sure it processes the correct set of tickets that "I" want it to process?

I guess when all these tickets (w/various numbers of days left on them) run out then this will be easier. Oy Vay!

Go to your MDE account and make the ticket that you do not want to use "inactive", that turns the ticket on or off.

When you want to use it again, make it "active".

Active items in your safe are accessible, inactive items aren't.

Using the "safe" analogy, please try to help me with this. I have booked points through a DVC 3rd party site for 3 guests. I have until 30 days prior to make any changes to guests names or add the 4th guest. I am not sure which 4th adult child will come. I would like to go ahead and buy the admission tickets since they are deeply discounted due to a rundisney event.

I won't know for sure which person will be using tne 4th ticket. And can I go ahead and make my FP+ reservation s at the 60 day mark even though I don't have that 4th person on the resetvation yet?

You can make FP reservations for the people that are in your MDE account, you can assign tickets to the people in your MDE account, you can order MB's for the people that are in your MDE account.

Extra tickets can just sit in your MDE account until you assign them to someone.
