My family wants to take a trip. My kids only want to stay 3 days. Dh and I want to stay 5 or 6. Can I link different length tickets to my room reservation so we can get FP together on days 1 thru 3 and dh and I can get FP for the rest of the trip all on day 60?

I want 3 day PH for kids and 5-6 day PH for dh and I

for reference kids are 19,15,12. Might try and get ds19 adult charge removed from reservation when they leave.
Hope that makes sense

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. That'll be fine.
4. You do not need to "link their tickets to your room" to do this.
As long as YOU have the room, YOU can book the FPs at your 60 day date for everyone who has valid tickets and is linked to YOUR MDX account.

So when booking the room for the 5 of us will it end up cheaper if I do a split stay (even at the same resort) or do I just include them on the reservation and pay fir the extra adult charge fir the remainder of the days?

JUst trying to see if once the kids leave we can get them (or at least the adult kid) off the reservation and save a few bucks. we are happy to keep all of their DDP credits so if removing them changes that then it is no biggie!

Yes, it's very easy. Once you purchase the tickets, you simply link each ticket to the person who is going to use it in MDE.

It would be cheaper to do the split if you don't want to pay the extra adult charge or for the kids' DDP credits once they leave. If you don't mind having extra DDP credits, then you could just book one, 5-night stay. You will need to ask the front desk if they will remove the extra adult charge once you oldest child leaves - YMMV.

If you're going to add the DDP to your room only, it will become a ticketless package, and I doubt you'll be able to remove them once they are gone. With a package, everyone has to have the same components. With that said, if you want different amount of days tickets, you will have to buy the tickets separately and do the aforementioned ticketless package to get the DDP.
