Linking tickets on MDE - Help because this is impossible

So here's the situation.

Using my account I reserved the resort room for our party of 8. Then my parents wanted to purchase theme park tickets using my mom's account.

No matter what I do I cannot link these together. I tried adding the hotel room to my mom's account using the hotel confirmation and it gave me an error, saying the reservation was already assigned to my mom - though it doesn't show up on her account. I tried to add my parents tickets to the hotel on my account, but when they purchased they only received a confirmation code, but to link it wants ticket numbers. I managed to send my mom an invite on my friends list, but that seems to have done nothing. Using the app I tried to scan the QR code on my mom's app to link accounts that way and then I got an error.

So, um, how does one do this? I know I can call, but that's not the most appealing option with how that call center is staffed.

Also nice is that I tried to sign up for the Disney Visa card offer when purchasing the tickets and I got an error so I couldn't get the card to use to purchase the tickets. It's been one of those nights.

Sorry to hear that this is so frustrating. Unfortunately, it seems to be the norm with Disney IT.

I can't offer any advice to solve your dilemma. Hopefully someone here can.

You can't link a resort reservation to theme park tickets. That's not how it works, unless you purchased a package at the time of booking, which isn't what you did. The room and the tickets will never be connected in any way. You link the room reservation to PEOPLE, and then you link the tickets to PEOPLE, but the reservation and the tickets don't get linked to one another.

To help you further, please answer the following;

Is everyone in your party an adult with their own My Disney Experience account?

Is everyone liked to everyone else in Friends and Family?

Is this a single room reservation, or multiple?

Who is the primary named guest on the resort reservation?

From the Disney chat helping I now have my mom linked to the hotel and to the tickets.

To answer the questions:

No, only my mom is the only one with their own account besides me. She purchased tickets for herself and my dad.

My mom's account is now linked in Friends and Family. It hadn't been when I posted earlier.

It is a single reservation.

My mom's name is the primary hotel guest even though I booked it under my account.

So, I might be all set. The chat tells me I'm all set, that everyone is linked to the hotel now and that I can run Disney Genie Plus for everyone. I'm still a touch nervous.
