linking tickets from undercover tourist

I attempted to link my OKW reservation to the tickets I purchased from Undercover Tourist but was unable to. When I contacted Disney I was told because I didn't purchase them directly from Disney that I wouldn't be able to - and after being transferred three times I still never seemed to get a straight answer. Has anyone else dealt with this or know how this might affect my ability to use fastpass+? :confused3

I just linked my UTtickets to MDE last week. The number at the bottom didn't work so I checked I didn't have it and then it asked for other info, like the code and date and it linked them

I've read in other threads that the problem could be entering zeros as 0s. But the CM was totally wrong - the fact that you bought them from UT has nothing to do with anything. Nothing about the tickets changed just because Disney sold them to UT first before you bought them from UT.

The easiest way is to use the app and scan the bar code, it's the fastest way.

I was also wondering if linking my UT tickets would affect price bridging.

I have non-expiring tickets from UT and linked them to my account, however....

I got an error message on one ticket saying it was not valid, but now it still shows in my account. Above all three tickets I linked I have the following message-

Error: We're sorry. The complete details for this ticket or pass are not available at this time. Please check back soon.

It has been well over a week and that message remains so this weekend I called the tech support line. I don't really think the person I talked to was listening and seemed very nonchalant during our conversation. At the end she said, "you are getting that message because the tickets don't have anything to link to since you have no magic band or rfid card yet."

Of course I don't really buy this, because I assume the tickets should link to your account. Once you have an active band or card, then they show up on there as well. So I will be calling back today and asking someone else to see what kind of answer I get.

I did try scanning the tickets with my mobile phone yesterday to see what would happen and all 3 said they were already linked to an account, which I assume is my account.

There is no point in linking your UT tickets to your MDE account at this point. Trying to do so will only cause trouble (as it did for many PPs) and won't have any advantages, since FP+ isn't yet available to everyone.

Once FP+ rolls out, then I would worry about this. Otherwise you are making an unnecessary hassle for yourself.

My September 12-17 reservation is PIF but I only paid for 2 day base park tickets. I was told I can upgrade to 4 day PH upon arrival and will just pay the difference. Does anyone know...if I buy tickets from a third party (Working Advantage) will I get the credit at all for the 2 day base I already paid for? I had to include the park tickets in my package to get the FD. I'm really trying to decide what to do. It'll save me $20/ea if I can purchase from Working Advantage but I don't know how it will work with the tickets I already "have", ya know?! Anyone...?!?!:confused3

Did this every get resolved? Mine is doing the same thing. 2 Tickets show what they are and 2 tickets are as you stated. Thanks

I too am having a similar problem. Yes I know this is an old thread. Sorry. :)

I linked mine no problem over the weekend. You have to enter exactly as it appears, with the spaces. I entered the #s straight at first and kept timing out. Now it's all linked and I can select fast passes.

I get the same message. When I check My Magic Band, the page lists all of us with our ticket numbers next to our names. I bought UC tickets too. When I check View My Tickets under MDE I get the same message.

I am working with a travel agent and she told me with tickets not purchased as part of a package you receive "vouchers". Your tickets are linked but you will need to "activate" them upon arrival. She said I could call to double check to make sure everything is linked. I actually linked the tickets a couple months ago on the phone with someone from Disney so I am hoping everything is good. I will call when it gets closer.

Good Luck

We had some older non-expiring park hoppers with remaining days that we bought from Undercover Tourist several years ago that we tried to link via the My Disney Experience website. We kept getting a message that we had to take them to Guest Relations at a park in order to get them linked. I called Disney and complained about this as the reason that we were trying to link the tickets was to get FP+ early and it was not practical for us to go to Orlando to get this done. The first time I called I got a rather rude cast member that said that it was true that we could not do this and we would have to go to guest relations. We called again and got another cast member who was very helpful and called several times to different people to get our tickets linked. We were finally able to do so. I guess there are good and bad CM operators just like good and bad park CM's.

Nice to see you again, Majestic. Stop by more often.

I would say scanning is certainly the easiest. Worked fine for me.

I just rec'd out UT tix today so my heart skipped a beat when I saw this thread !
Thanks Majestic for resurrecting it and to everyone else for posting~ hopefully I won't freak when I hit glitches
