Linking reservations?

I feel silly posting this, but I wasn't sure exactly what I should do a search on...

Okay we are going in three weeks for six nights on one reservation. I just booked another night separately from our original reservation. (We have the DDP for the first six nights and don't need it for the extra night) But I was wondering how we would link the two reservations so that we don't have to pack up our tent for the last night and move to another site. I'm positive that you guys will know the answer to this. I remember a post from when I first started coming on here talking about this, but I can not for the life of me remember what was said. Thanks for all your help!

If anyone else is camping from March 9th - March 16th we will have a green mickey head on our huge tent. Feel free to stop by and say hi if we are around.

I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to say that I'll keep an eye out for y'all! I'll be there March 12-16, with some of my family staying till 3-18. We'll have a cabin and a campsite, and at least the cabin plus my golf cart will have Fort Fiend signs. Love to get to say hey!

Search here for the fax # for the fort. They say you can fax a request in about a week early and they are pretty good at accomadating you.

You just need to call Disney Reservations and give them both res #'s and tell them you need them linked. You shouldn't have any problem. I wouldn't wait until the last minute to do it though.

I'd call now with both ressie #s and make sure they note it, and then follow up with a fax about 4 days before you arrive.

We've had linked ressies a bunch of times and have never had a problem.

In November we went up to check out/in on the changeover day and had a brief moment when the CM looked at the screen and said, "hmm... they have you switching sites"



While DH and I stood there with our mouths open she simply said (in a cheerful Disney voice), "no problem, hang on a minute..." then disappeared out back for a few minutes. She came back, handed us our new key cards and we were on our way back to the SAME site.

Thanks for all the replys. I will call and fax. Then hopefully it will work out well. The way that fax is worded is great though. I'm kinda worried about our tent size. It sleeps 12 so it's pretty big. Like that one site that has a tree in the middle of the pad, most likely wouldn't work out.

So where do you think they would put me if I said not near any gators... I know I'm a fraidy cat. My DS on the other had I would have to hold him back... he kinda scares me with things like that. He is obsessed with gators. He even asked for an alligator sandwich the other day.

I have gone to FW with two connected reservations, one for business and continued for please. I had to separate the two reservations so I could file the business part to get reimbursed. I just told them at check-in that I had the two reservations. I had a printout of both reservation numbers and they set me up to stay in the same site for the entire time. Faxing will certainly not hurt but I would recommend you confirm the site assignment at check-in, just to make sure. Good luck and have fun.

I have gone to FW with two connected reservations, one for business and continued for please. I had to separate the two reservations so I could file the business part to get reimbursed. I just told them at check-in that I had the two reservations. I had a printout of both reservation numbers and they set me up to stay in the same site for the entire time. Faxing will certainly not hurt but I would recommend you confirm the site assignment at check-in, just to make sure. Good luck and have fun.

Not in reply to you, but General Reservations can't link up two separate reservation numbers ... I think only the resort front desk can do that. We ran into this when we were at the fort this last Dec/Jan/Feb. We had 3 separate ressies one from 16 Dec to 30 Dec, one from 31 Dec to 30 Jan and made a third from 30Jan to 1Feb. When we checked in on 16 Dec we tried to link our next ressie and they couldn't since they can't see a ressie now evidently more than 9 days out and IIRC in the past they could. So we just went to the front desk about a week away from a new ressie and had them do that then.

Just our experiences less than a month or two ago and we have been linking ressies for like the last 6 years or so since we stay so long and always hit the 30day limit.

When I said two connected reservations, I simply meant that they were continuous, not linked in any official way. It was the front desk (at check-in) that insured we could stay in the same spot for both reservations. Did not mean to cause any confusion or to imply that Disney "connected" the reservations.

It was easier for me to book a separtate reservation for one night. When we checked in we told them of the two reservations. We were given a site that we didn't have to move. At the end of the trip we had to extend another day because of the snow storm up the east coast and stayed in the same site.

That is encouraging. Thanks! We booked with AAA too for our main stay. When you arrived early did you already have reservations for that night or did you make them when you got down to FL? We might get there early depending when we leave. I was thinking of getting a cheap hotel for the night. But maybe we could get and extra night in the beginning and just sleep in the van for the night... It would be like 11 at night before we would get there, depending on what time we leave, so it would be way to dark to put up the tent.
