Linking reservations

I am going in Sept and am thinking about renting points to upgrade to a one bedroom. Right now we would spend 2 nights in a studio and then switch to a 1 bedroom for the rest of the trip. I can't transfer the points in.

If someone makes a one night reservation for me and I make my reservations - same resort - can those reservations be linked so I don't have to check in and out and reset my dining plan?

As long as they were titled the same and were for the same location and booking category, you should be able to link them. But if they were made through DRC for cash, they could not be linked.

You can't link reservations of different rooms sizes. The studio & 1 bedroom could not be linked. If you book a 1 bedroom for 1 night and someone else books a 1 bedroom for the next night, they could be linked if the same room type (lockoff/dedicated/view).

We are going to stay 2 nights at BCV and then switch over to BWV - we were going to stay in a studio at BCV but DH HATES studios.

So just so I am sure how to do this - I can have someone call BCV and reserve a 1 BR in my name - and I can reserve at 1 BR in my name - then those two reservations in my name can be linked even though they are not from the same member? Do we both have to give permission to link the reservations?

Two different resorts? Right now they cannot be linked. But member enhancements on the DVC website says this is something they will be doing in the future.

I have enough of my own points for the BWV portion of the trip - so I am just talking about my two nights at BCV - I know BCV and BWV can't be linked!

I have enough points for Saturday night at BCV but not enough for Sunday. So I want to rent 25 points from someone for Sunday night. I will make Sat. reservation -they will make Sunday and then I want to link them. Can I do that so I won't have to check in and out and the DDP will be for both nights.

I am sorry I am not explaining myself clearly!!! I have a pretty bad head cold and am not sure I am forming coherent thoughts!!

Then I will switch over to BWV and have a completley different unlinked reservation that would have no bearing on the BCV portion of my trip.
