Linking reservations

I don't have enough points to make a reservation that I need but I fear that I will be unable to find someone to transfer only 20 points due to the new transfer rules. If I found someone to rent me the night instead, am I right in assuming I can have MS link it with my original reservation? Also I would then be adding cash nights on the end so I would need them linked too. I will first try to find someone to transfer the points to me but if this doesn't work I will need to link the reservations.

Yes, if you rent a reservation from another member, MS can link it to your reservation. If you are able to get the cash nights booked through MS, those can also be linked to the other two reservations.

If you book the cash nights through CRO, the cash nights cannot be linked to the points reservations. The best you can do is cross reference them (MS confirmation number noted on CRO reservation and CRO confirmation number noted on MS reservation). You will have to check out and back in between the CRO cash nights and the MS booked nights (whether they be for points, rented points or cash). The CRO reservation system is not compatible with the one MS uses.
