Linking reservation to MDE

Booked our trip for next Nov/Dec a couple of days ago but it doesn't show on MDE. Have a ref number which we have tried but have no reservation number. Does it only show once whole holiday is paid or a certain period prior to the holiday?

It takes about a week for UK bookings to be added to the US system also I am not sure if they will have all the dates loaded for next year yet as they don't book as far ahead in the US.

When I booked a stay for this October a couple weeks ago it took at least 5 days before it linked. I was trying every other day and it linked at 6 days.

That's good to know Elise79, so we are looking to around this Thursday for ours to link since we booked last Friday lunch time or Saturday if they don't count Sundays as a work day.
We have booked for October 2017 which seemed like ages away ... until DH counted it as 76 and a bit weeks Something to look forward to for sure.

Has anybody had any luck linking their 2017 booking yet? I booked for June on 29th April and been trying regularly since, but no luck

When I booked in 2014 for April 2015, six was the magic number as Elise79 mentions above. That has now come and gone, as has the seven days that Disney states in their confirmation email so I wonder if it's a case that the dates aren't just loaded yet?

I know their is nothing really I can do this far out anyway, but as UKDisneyJoe says it would be exciting (and reassuring!) to see it pop up!

WDTC UK has answered several guests that bookings will not link until the 499 days mark. As Elise79 mentionned, rooms are only loaded as far as 500 days out.

Today is 499 days away from September 20th 2017. So @wifey, you're probably looking at, at least, a couple of weeks before linking, or more, depending on when you go in October.

for bookings inside the 499 days, they should link in about a week (7 working days) after booking.

OKW and SSR bookings will not be confirmed until 10 months out (hence they won't link before then)

Thanks for this info, we figured as much so we still need to wait a while. We did cancel our other accounts to make sure it links up properly when the time comes. Doing this did allow us to invite the family to join in the planning and have some ideas of things to try that we still missed out on for the last few trips. So once my recovery from surgery next week is done I will have something good to do

I checked again today (I have been every single day since I booked it ) and my reservation for June 2017 is now in MDE! If you exclude the fact that 2 May was a bank holiday, this is 7 working days after I booked it which fits in with what chmurf said above.

For some reason though, although I can see it all okay in a browser if I log in to the app it only shows the tickets, and not the hotel reservation

Thank you so much for this thread. Booked an unplanned surprise bday trip earlier today for myself and DH's mum for next Feb, and got a bit worried when it wasn't showing. Another site said it could take up to a week, and these posts confirm. I won't worry too much if it takes a bit longer with it being 2017.

Well folks this weekend we should hit the magic number of 499 days until we arrive in WDW. I seriously hope the MDE app updates and corrects itself by then. Tried peeking at it at lunch time and burst out laughing it gave my birthday as Jan 1st 1900. Yeah well that's obviously a default setting but it can't be corrected yet. The details are there for DH and DS to link into the planning side of it and it's got my avatar right. Fingers crossed for every one else that booked recently and will be waiting for theirs to update then too.

You won't see it on the App at that point, that comes on around the year mark. My June/July Trip for 2017 isn't on the app yet, but was on the site from booking.

I called Disney as although I can see everything via the website, when I look at the App it is showing only the tickets. The CM I spoke to said that hotel bookings don't show in the App until 335 days before arrival (we go next June) and really I shouldn't be able to see it on the website either!

Wow there are so many different answers issuing from WDW at the moment! Oh well we just need to keep waiting then, it will get there eventually. As long as we don't have the issues we had last year staying at the Wilderness Lodge, although the place is beautiful and in a great location we had many problems there from check in onwards.

I know what you mean, I do sometimes feel that Disney kind of fob us off! I don't think they are really geared for us UK people booking so far in advance. Like you say, just need to wait and it will happen eventually, it is just a bit frustrating. I've marked the 335 day point in my calendar and if it doesn't appear in the App then I will be back on the phone
Shame you had issues at WL, we stayed there a few years back and I agree it is a lovely resort. I think that's why I watch stuff like this linking so much, to avoid any issues. I hope your next trip all goes as it should. Keep us updated as to when you get it to link

We are at 498 days from our return home date and still nothing is showing as a reservation on the MDE app. So much for the " magic numbers" game. I guess we have to wait a few more months still TBH with everything else going on in life at the moment this really pales into insignificance. Can't imagine what some families are going through right now , it's just too much to take on board and process and I'm sure many others feel the same way.
