Linking reservation to DVC account

Can someone please tell me how to link a reservation made for me by another DVC members acct/points? I was able to link it and see it on the MDE app, but I am not seeing it on the DVC account when I login. Is there a way to do this or will it happen automatically within a few days? Thanks for your help!

It will not appear on your DVC account. The reservation is always under the sole control of the contract owner. They will see it on their dashboard. The only way to see another owners point have a reservation on your dashboard is if they transfer the points to your DVC account and then you make the reservation with those points. You will only see this reservation in MDE once you have linked it.

As mentioned, that reservation is booked on another person's membership so your only way of knowing it exists is through MDE. They remain in charge of it...meaning, they can cancel it...until you check in.

It is one reason why people choose to transfer points instead because doing it that way, puts the reservation in control of you, the owner.

Thanks for your input! That makes total sense now. Luckily it's my family member booking the trip, so I am not concerned about losing the reservation. You guys are awesome! So grateful for the boards!
