linking reservation question

Hello all-
I just asked MS via email to link my 2 upcoming stays at BWV; I have 4 nights in 2 BR BW view and the next 2 nights in 2BR BW pool/garden view- we are waitlisted the last 2 nights for a BW view. MS says they are not able to link the reservations together since they are for different types of rooms. I thought I could link them for DDP, etc., no?

No, currently they cannot be linked. It would be like trying to link a villa at BWV and one at BCV. Two separate reservations. So your DDP credits will expire at midnight on the day you check out of the first reservation.

Reservations are only linked when they are for the same room and type but were booked differently.

In your case, you have two separate rooms and therefore, nothing to really link. As far as the DDP, you can just get it for both reservations and if the WL doesn't come through, just have two the credits on the different cards.

We did this last summer when we stayed at different resorts. It wasn't really hard, but I just had to remember to use the credits from the first stay on check out day before I used the new ones.

They can only link them in a situation where you can stay in the same villa the entire time.
