I'm new to this board and to DVC, and I can't find the answer to this question anywhere. We are staying at SSR in May and I'm getting ready to purchase our park tickets. I would really like them to be the same as our room key because of the convenience, which I understand is the way it works if you purchase directly from Disney. But the company I work for is a partner with Disney and they offer a corporate discount, so what I'm wondering is if you can buy tickets from someone besides Disney but still have everything on your room key. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? Thanks in advance!

Go ahead and buy your tickets at the cheapest place you can find them. They will add them to your room key at check in.:thumbsup2

The only tickets that they couldn't like for me was my AP. I would like to have it on my key but they evidently can't do it.

Keep in mind that only unused tickets can be added to a room key. Partially used tickets cannot be added to a room key.

If you buy no-expiration tickets and do not use all the days for this trip, you will need to keep your room key for future trips to use up the remaining days.

I will be going back to WDW on April 28 and was also thinking of purchasing our park tickets early. I have the same question... I would like the park tickets to be on our room keys. I'm glad to hear that the CM's can do that at check-in. But is that only for tickets purchased through the WDW ticket site or can tickets purchased through any one of the disounters also be added to our room keys?

I would be very interested in knowing this as well. We purchased our tickets from a ticket broker and would love the convenience of this. I didn't know it could be done. Can it?

Does anyone know of a way to check a ticket that you have, and see how many days are left?

I know that various places in WDW can check the ticket, but is there a way to do that when you are not in WDW?

Yes - MYW tickets purchased through one of the "discounters" can be added to your room key at check in. Again, the ticket must be new/unused. Do not go to a park before check in if you want your ticket on the room key. Partially used tickets cannot be added to a room key.

No, sorry. The only way to determine what is left is to have th eticket scanned somewhere on site - either at your WDW resort or one of the guest services/ticket booths.

Can I get some clarification? We have 8 day MYW hoppers as we'll be at WDW for 4 days, then we'll be leaving WDW for a few days and returning to WDW for another 4 days. When we first check in to OKW, they'll be able to put our tickets on our room key, but on our return for the second half of our stay, they cannot. What happens to the remaining 4 days of admission (8 day hopper - 4 day stay)? Do they give us back the paper tickets minusing out the 4 day stay or do they just put 4 days admission on our first room key, leaving 4 days admission on the paper ticket?

Should we just keep our tickets separate? Wanted to add it on our room key for ease, but not sure how all this will work. :sad2:

You will either need to keep the room ID with the remaining days of your MYW pass or just use the MYW pass without linking it to a room ID.

Enjoy!

Yes they can. The Lobby Concierge desk at your second resort can transfer the remaining unused ticket entitlements from your first resort ID to your second one.

This presumes that you do not have a package that includes a ticket on the second reservation. If you have a package with a ticket, then the remaining days from the first ID cannot be transferred to the new ID.

You are great! I have been trying to figure this out for our June trip.

That is the fax #. Do you know the phone # so I can speak with someone first?

The number I have for WDW Ticket Research is 407-566-4985. Believe they are open Mon through Fri 8:30-4:30.

To take the question one step further....

So if I were to purchase a 10 day no expiration MYW pass and had it linked to my room key and then used 5 days, then the remaining 5 days would remain on the room key. If I returned to WDW in a few years, would I have to keep using the old room key or could the front desk person transfer over the remaining 5 days to my new room key ?

What if when I returned I was staying off property...would I continue to use the old room key ?
