Linking paid reservation with dvc stay

We have a points reservation booked at BWV. We want to add on one night, but there is no availability. Do I call MS to book a paid night? Will I be able to link that reservation with the points one? Is there any discount for a paid reservation?

You can link a cash reservation through DVC, sometimes you can get a discount sometimes you can't- if you do I believe it is 25%. If you book through Disney Reservations they can't connect your reservation to your DVC reservation.

I was told by MS yesterday that they can not link point and cash reservations but they will note on the reservations that your are using both. The CM stated that it's up to the room assigner if you have to move or not.

Cash through MS are actually points reservations. If it's through CRO then I'd agree.

In this case they'd need to be the same booking category, for BWV basically not standard or BW view.

I actually did this for a first night stay 2 years ago at BWV - Garden/Pool view - and was told by MS there was a possibility I would have to move after my first night. When I checked in they were able to keep me in the same room for the rest of the week, BUT they did issue and have delivered a new room card the next day. Not sure how that would work now with MB.
