Linking offsite guests to MDE to make FP

We are staying onsite, and are traveling with friends staying offsite. I read in the FP sticky that we should be able to make FP for our entire party at 60 days, as long as they are linked in MDE. I can't seem to get this to work? They are already in my friends and family list from previous trips, but for some reason, I'm not seeing their tickets when I go to the "my reservations and tickets" page. I do see their tickets in the F&F page though. I must be doing something wrong--- any ideas? When I try to book a FP with them as guests, I'm getting the error the I can't book for them because they don't have tickets/reservations.

Are you sure they already have tickets and have them linked in their mde? I would confirm that with them because it sounds like they don't have tickets.

All you need is for you guys to be linked in MDE and everyone can get FP's when your on site window opens. But if someone doesn't have tickets then they can't book FP's

They do have them linked- but I don't think they have individual ticket numbers. They linked them using their confirmation code sent when they ordered the tickets. I do see them as having tickets when I go to Friends and Family (with the link to reassign the ticket). Ergh.

Go to the FP area of MDX and book FPs for today for your complete group. If you are able to book, it means everyone has linked tickets.

I ended up having to call- the CM said there is some sort of issue with MDX today. Figures. Good thing is that he was able to add the offsite people to my existing FP, but nothing was available for FoP (even at 60 days out).

Don't give up hope. FP+ is a 24/7 system and thousands of people are logged in, fiddling with their choices at any given time. Just keep poking in there and checking! Refresh refresh refresh as we say here on the DIS!
