Linking my tickets to the App

I have my 5 Day PH ticket and I have my MHP tickets too. If I link the PH to the App, does that mean it's effective immediately (as in it thinks I'm in the Park), or will it wait until I show up at the gate before going live?

And can I link my MHP to the app too? Or is that not an option?

I'm getting so excited to go! 16 days and counting!

There's a Disneyland app for your phone (I have it on my iPhone). It gives you wait time on rides, which ones are down, where the characters are, etc. It also allows your tickets to be linked to it, so it can tell you how your whole experience (if you're staying at a DLR hotel for example) is going/will go. I have tickets and I want to link them to the app, but not if it thinks that's the day I'm actually in the Park. I don't want my tickets to be initiated until I actually go through the gates.

When I purchased park hoppers from the DLR website back in Feb they automatically linked to my account and were there when I opened the app. I used one of the tickets in July and the other one for my son we will use in December. No problems at all when I used the ticket in July. The ticket does not activate until it is scanned at the park entrance.

I was wondering the same thing about my APs. If I link the code numbers from the email to my app, I certainly wouldn't want them to be activated too soon. I know they're not technically activated until I take them to the kiosks, but it's still in the back of mind.

I think you can only link Annual Passports to the Disneyland app unless you purchase your tickets through the app. At least I am unable to. I keep getting an error message.

Yes I think you can only do all that for WDW....When I called, the cast member told me it's completely different.....

The MHP ticket I bought through Disney automatically showed up on the app. The 4-Day PH I bought through LMT could not be linked. Only APs.

I haven't tried it yet, but I got a renewal thank-you card from Disney that told me I could link it to the app.

I would bet you're right. My MHP ticket is an online e-ticket.
