Linking Gift Cards to Magic Bands

Does anyone know if you can link the Gift Cards to the Magic bands yet? I know as of 2014 that wasn't so, but maybe they've updated the ability to do so. Trying to avoid carrying anything extra into the parks if possible.

I couldn't in April. If you're staying onsite though, you can just charge to the credit card linked on your account and then go to the front desk if your hotel and pay the balance off with the gift cards. You cannot put the gift card directly on your account though. I didn't have any issues, just make sure you do it no later than the day before you leave as the balance posts to your credit card that night. Also, if you charge $1500 or more, I think it posts regardless of what day of your vacation it is. I think it's something like $1500 for value, $2000 for moderate, and $2500 for deluxe, but don't quote me on that.

The only thing linked to your band is your MDE profile. Everything else is linked to that. And, no, you cannot link a gift card, at least not at this time.

When we arrived the CM was very nice at the check in, I was told on here they would not add your gift cards in the beginning but she did no problem..Not sure if it depends on CM but she added them to out account, we still had our credit card linked and once we went over the amount of the gift cards it charged our credit card..We used our magic bands for everything we didn't carry much cash at all..
