Linking Genie+ With Other People

Hi All,

Sorry for a basic question, but coming from usual WDW visits, I just want to make sure we are understanding something pretty basic at DL. We (wife and I) just purchased our tickets (park hoppers w/G+) from Undercover Tourist. We aren't going until next year so obviously can't make park reservations yet.

My question has to do with Genie+. At WDW we are linked as friends so when we go to make selections we are included in the planning party. DL doesn't have the friends and family feature. So, we've linked her ticket to my account and my ticket to her account. Is that basically all we need to do in order to select each other when making G+ selections?

We just had my husband log into my account and that way we were all together and it was the easiest we found. I think you can link the tickets to each other as well, but we found just logging into my account from both phones worked great for us. We just got home a few days ago.

Thanks, that's not really my question though. It's more of how are accounts linked together so that you can book for multiple people. We own DVC at VDH so will be staying there, so this is a hotel stay w/tickets purchased separately. I know we are linked together for the hotel stay, but I don't see how we would "see" each other when making G+ reservations except by linking tickets to each other's accounts.

Yes, this is all you needed to do.

Yes, this is all you needed to do.

Yeah, this is differen than how the WDW My Disney Experience app works. You can just link the tickets for the others to your app - a ticket can be linked to multiple accounts for that purpose. I had to figure this out recently as I was trying to link an account to mine, like I would in MDE.
