Linking DVC Reservation , Tickets & Magic Bands

Forgive me, but its been 3 years since we were last at WDW and I’m a bit rusty when it comes to all the ins and outs, so i need a few reminders.
I have our DVC villa reserved and I’ve bought tickets from UT, so now what?

1) what triggers us getting the Magic Bands, do i need to request them or do they automatically come?

2) How do i link the reservation and tickets? I believe i need the tickets to get FP+s, and need the onsite reservation to trigger the 60 FP window, right?

You need to add the DVC confirmation number to your MDE account. That will trigger you being able to customize Magic Bands. If you don't customize them in advance, you will be handed plain grey ones when you check in. You also would add the ticket confirmation (or actual ticket numbers depending on what you bought) to your MDE account to link your tickets.

You enter the DVC reservation and ticket numbers into the appropriate places in MDE. Once the DVC reservation number is entered the magic bands can be customized and will be automatically sent.
