Linking DVC Rental to MDE and Family

I apologize if this has been asked before but my search did not come up with anything. We are renting points from a friend for our trip in November. I am trying to link our stay in MDE and then I also want to link 3 more reservations (family member not using DVC but staying on property) since I will be handling all the planning. All these family members (except 1) are already in my friends and family list from a previous trip. How do I link their new reservations with my account? Should I try to add them as a new friend with their confirmation number? Will there then be 2 of the same name in the list? And how do I link our DVC rental? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
 
The one person that is not already listed in your Family & Friends list will need to be added first. If this person has their OWN MDE account, you should enter the email they used to create it to 'Connect'. Your other option is to add them as a profile you manage (don't enter an email address). If you don't add them first, MDE will prompt you to add them when you link the room reservation.

Since everyone else is already listed in your family & friends list, you only need to link each reservation from the "My Reservations & Tickets" page. After you enter the confirmation number and primary last name and click 'Next', it should match the names on the reservation to your family & friends list.
 
You don't need to link their hotel reservations. They should manage those in their profile. You should link up to the one person not currently in your friends and family list.

When you start making ADR's and fast pass reservations, you can add these "friends and family" people onto the reservation at the time you book them. Once you do so, the reservations will show up in their MDE accounts. It's a lot easier to manage if one person is doing all the ADR's and/or fast passes.
 
Thanks for the responses. So the the one person I have to add is my 92 year old grandmother who does not use a computer. I added her using her name because it would not let me add with her reservation number since she doesnt have a MDE account. My question is how will her ticket be linked to her account that I am managing on my MDE? When I am ready to make fast pass reservations how will the system know she has a ticket? I guess that is also my question for all the people already on my list. Does MDE know by their name that they have a ticket? I really appreciate the feedback!
 

Since she didn't have an identity on her own account, she now only exists in your account. You will need to enter her ticket there. The same goes with everyone else on your list: if they have their own MDE accounts (or are managed by someone else's; say, friends and their kids) they can enter their own tickets.
 
If I am making the plans (FP, ADRs) for my extended family who do not have an MDE account, will they still be able to view the FP and ADRs, and make 4th and later FP in the park on the app? Or if they want to see the plans I’ve made on their phone, should they create their own MDE account (and then I would connect with that MDE email?)?

Two options:
  1. They either need to have their own MDE account(s) and be connected to your MDE account via the Family & Friends list
  2. you give them your MDE username and password
