Linking dinner seating and rotations -

Several of us on the 12/20 Magic sailing are thinking about linking our dinner seatings --

Does anyone know if we can request a dinner rotation at the same time?

We are planning a Dis meet Palo's brunch, but don't want to interfere with anyone's character breakfast.

It seems it would be difficult to change a group's rotation onboard.

Just curious as to what other groups have done - Thanks.

You can always request a certain rotation in advance--but DCL does not guarantee any dining rotation request at all.

You are correct that it would be difficult to change a large group once onboard. I would just add the request to the reservations and hope for the best. You will find out at check-in if they gave you the dining rotation you asked for. If not, then head straight to the dining change request area and see if they can do anything for you.

our dinner at the time we each made our reservations, there seemed to be no problems, when I called and made the last payment I asked them to tell me who I was linked to just to be sure.

I don't know how big of a group they can support, but you can get reservations to be cross-linked so that the group (if there is room) will dine together.

If you booked through DCL, then its a simple thing they can to for you. I don't know about going through a travel agent, I've just always booked through DCL directly.

I have done this before, and it was pretty easy to line up. All the DIS folks just swapped reservation numbers, and then called and asked that their dining reservation be linked with the other folks.

It sure was nice. It felt like having dinner with old friends each night, and of course we also shared stories about other DIS members we had all been in touch with or had met before.

I highly recommend this.
