I have booked a 1 bedroom at BWV and are paying for DDP, I have also booked OKW 1 Bedroom which comes with DDP, the problem I have is that my park tickets are linked to the second part of the trip OKW. Can I link both stays so that I can use my 14 day park ticket from the start of my holiday.

It sounds like your OKW booking is through Disney not DVC and is a package that includes tickets and DDP. If so, that cannot be linked with your BWV stay booked on points to allow use of the park tickets before the OKW stay begins.

Can the OKW be booked through DVC but paying the cash rate to get free DDP, if so will I be able to link both stays allowing use of the 14 day park tickets.

If you were to pay cash through DVC, it's considered using your membership and free dining would not be available.

The BWV stay is for 6 and the OKW is for 8 nights.

If I buy OKW through disney will they allow me to buy park tickets just for the 8 nights.

When I go to BWV on points, I have paid cash for DDP, will I be able to buy a 5 day ticket for the parks.

Its just getting so confusing.

I am still not clear on what you are trying to do. If the package through Disney that includes DDP also includes park tickets then you will get tickets for the particular stay that is booked, e.g., your 8 nights at OKW. You can then always buy another ticket for the time you are staying on a separate DVC reservation. If the package you are buying through Disney includes only room and DDP, and you have to buy tickets separately, then you can buy one ticket that covers your entire combined stay at WDW; moreover, in that situation, if it is 14 nights total, you might consider buying an Annual Pass with DVC discount if it is cheaper than a 14 day pass.

So I wrote a huge long answer and then deleted it. Clarification is needed.

What order are your visits in - I thought I understood but the more I read, then I was less sure.

Are you doing BWV on points FIRST, then OKW on cash second? And OKW comes with the DDP as part of a package with tickets?

If you explain that part, it would be clearer as to what your choices are.

The way I read this is that you have a points stay FIRST at BWV for which you are paying DDP out of pocket . Then you have an OKW 1 bedroom booked through CRO as a package that includes DDP and park tickets.

Is there any way you can cancel the "package" part of your OKW trip? If it's not linked to a special rate, you would be far better off money wise to just book room only at OKW and use the DVC $100 discount on Annual Passes. On stays over 10 nights, it is usually more economical to buy an AP than to use other ticket media. Then you can also buy the DDP seperately as well, should you deem it necessary.

We have found DDP costs us significantly more than paying out of pocket and using the TIW discount card we can get with our Annual Pass. For that reason, if it was me, I would get a room only reservation at OKW and buy an AP to be used for both trips and add the TIW card to that and buy food OOP instead of using DDP.

They are from UK, my guess is they got the special deal for OKW or SSR which includes a 40% room discount plus free dining. UK also has a special deal for 14 day tickets.

Debbie spot on. The first part at BWV is on points. I want to take advantage of DDP being offered if staying at OKW, but have been told I need to purchase 14 day ticket but I cannot get it before I go to OKW so this means I would need to buy tickets for our stay at BWV. Could I book the OKW seperately through US Disney website or is there another way round this.

Thanks to all who have been given me advice.

I'm not sure that you can make this work unless you swap the two stays--having the cash stay first and then the points.

Since the park passes are linked to the OKW stay, you won't get your tickets until you check-in at OKW.

The only other thing I can think of is trying to get the travel agency to issue separate paper tickets before you arrive at WDW. But if you booked this as a package, that may not be possible.

You can get package tickets early now, but only 3 days before your stay, so that doesn't help the OP (check the Ticket Sticky in the Theme Parks Board for details on that).

I agree though - it's the order of the 2 different stays that are so problematic.
