Linking 2 Ressies w/DDP only on one Ressie??

Has anyone made two separate ressies, one with DDP and one without and linked them together so you didn't have to change rooms?

I'll be using points via DVC and don't want to eat 8 nights worth of DDP but would like to do maybe 4-5 nights.

I thought we could but when we called, MS says even if we get the same room we have to physically check out and then check back in...that didn't make sense to me. We want to avoid repacking everything.

We linked a cash ressie and a pts ressie at a stay at OKW. Once the ressies were linked, they were treated as one reservation and the DDP was for all nights.

This was how I wanted it, not sure if you could do it the other way once the ressies are linked.

Thanks...I was really hoping we could just do the plan for part of the time...when we did it this past Sept, we found it was just too much food and made us too "schedule-focused"...

I hear you. We did it once too and felt that our trip was focused on our ADR's and we lost some of the spontaneity of our trip. We stick with the DDE card now. Much more our style for a week
