Linked reservations, different start dates

I have 2 reservations, one starting Saturday for my immediate family, and one starting Sunday for the in-laws. I've linked our reservations and want to make all of the FP+ reservations for the whole family. Will I be able to make them all the first day I'm eligible to, or will I have to wait until the next day to make them for the in-laws? I can see it becoming difficult if not impossible to get the same times if the latter is the case.

If the in-laws have a package, you unfortunately have to wait until their window opens.

If they have separately linked tickets, you can book for them when your window opens.
