Linked reservations and Palo

We are traveling with our neighbors and we have our reservations linked so we can eat together. We traveled last year with them but they were Castaway Club members and we weren't. This year we are and can both make Palo reservations 90 days out.

My question is, can we make separate Palo reservations for ourselves for brunch under our room and have them make separate Palo reservations for themselves under their room while our cabin reservations are linked, or do we have to make Palo reservations together?

If not, can we unlink our reservations until after we make our Palo reservations and then link them back up?

I know there have been issues with both parties being online at the same time, but that's not going to be an issue as I will be on exactly at midnight and my neighbor will make their reservations the next morning.

Thanks for your help.

I am not a castaway club member, but... my reservations are linked with another family we are traveling with, and I was able to book 2 separate reservations for palo. I booked one for my husband and I under our reservation. Then I went into her reservation and booked palo for her. I was always under the impression that if ressies are linked you couldn't do it, but I had NO problem at all. Hope it works for you.:)

Disney's online reservation system has some serious problems with linked reservations. My advice would be to unlink them now. I had some problems making reservations, (we ended up having to make individual reservations) and reported them to Disney. They said they were aware of some of the issues with linked reservations, but did not have a solution yet.

When they are linked, only one of you can make reservations at a time, which makes getting the best times difficult. So, if you can unlink them until after you make all your reservations and then re-link them, I think that would be your best bet.

I have experienced this as well. The problem comes when you are trying to make reservations and are logged in at the same time but since you will be logging in at different times, you should not have an issue. If you are only trying to make Palo reservations for either the 4 all together or just you, that can be done anyway. If you have decided that you want to do Palo separately, that will require logging in at different times.

I'm wondering if anyone can answer this one....I am traveling with family and our reservations are linked. My DH and I are CC members, the others are not. We have two cabins for our family of 5, so my DH and I are listed on seperate reservations, then there are two other couples we want to eat with (with me so far). My DH and I can book 90 days out, but the others cant. Can we book them on our reservations? I read somewhere a while back that each CC member can book up to 3 people per member. So if I book, say the 3 women on mine and then we book the 3 men on my DH's and then link the two reservations together...would that work? I'm just curious if anyone has had a similar situation and how it worked out for them. Sorry if it's a complicated question, but I couldn't think of a better way to word it (maybe because I haven't had my coffee yet). :confused3
TIA
