I am attacked with pop-ups every time I come to this website. The reason is that the ads are infected. I think the site admin doesn’t know how to stop it. So I looked around Google and they have a link to report it.

Search “report malicious software to Google” and you should find the form.

If we all report that disboards.com is infected then hopefully Google will be able to see the ads causing it and stop them.

I've never had pop ups here, ever. I use MSE if that matters.

It’s on my phone also and only on this site.

Turn off Java on the phone.

I downloaded an ad stopper to my phone and it's taken care of the problem.

When I'm on my PC at home I have no problem because of an ad blocker. When I use my Android phone when I'm out and about I have the same pop up issues and I just stopped trying to use the site with my phone. I tried Chrome, Firefox and a couple other browsers but the pop ups didn't stop. I give up.

It is not disboards.com that is infected.

It is the ad server, serving up crappy ads. The ad servers play a constant game of whack a mole.

The ad supported model of the internet does not work, another model is inevitable.

On an Android, if you disable Java, the adds don't show.
1) Open Chrome on your device.
2) In the upper right hand corner, press the three stacked dots
3) Press 'Settings'
4) Press 'Site Settings'
5) Press 'JavaScript'
6) Click the button to block JavaScript
7) Hit the back arrow enough times to return to the webpage. You may have to hit refresh.

If there are features on a certain website that require Java to work, follow steps 1-5. Then click the link for "Add Site Exception". Enter the webpage you want Java to work on (don't include the http://).

I frequent a number of message boards. disboards is the only one that repeatedly has the problem. So yes, it might be the ad server, but other sites have figured out how not to use the ad server.
