Link to article: Eisner finds support in strange place - Pooh Corner

Rather than speculating about what others would say, how about simply providing a reason why what has been said is incorrect.

What industry does she work in that makes her worthy of a Reuters report?

Is she a major shareholder in the company?

Are her comments consistent with the course of her more than a decade old beef with the company?

She admits Disney's culture is flawed, but offers no explanation other that it isn't Eisner's fault. If Eisner bears no responsibility, who does?
What makes her worthy of a Reuters report? I have no idea. But someone at Reuters asked her the question and she answered it. And then they reported it. I hardly think she sought out the Reuters people and said, "I'd like to make a statement."

Most of the folks here would jump at a chance to speak up, and if a reporter came to ask us what we thought, I somehow don't think that we'd all first go through a vetting process in our heads to determine whether or not we're qualified to answer.

So if you're going to wonder what gives HER the right ... she has the right because she was asked. Why her? Go ask Reuters.

I still think that if she had come out strongly in favor of Roy, no one would have asked what her qualifications were to answer the question. JMO

It's interesting to see me described as having a defeatist attitude and truth be told that is the way it looks, I guess (in reality I'm an easy going, laid back guy who does what he needs to do)...

Anyway, regading Disney it doesn't seem impossible as you state it but I still think it really is. Short of a closely held public corporation (like Pixar) this format just will not be accepted by investors, boards or CEO's in charge of profits until there is proof positive that in today's environment it will work...Which is, of course, the 'Catch-22' because it can't be proven to work if it won't be tried...And it won't be tried until it's proven to work...
