How bad are the lines for food and wine festival? We have ressies for first week of December to see Christmas decorations but now I am thinking food and wine sounds like fun also. My son 2.5 can't take long lines so which is less crowded?

Neither, sorry. Both are very busy times. Maybe this will be the trip to train your son to be in a long line??? Go when the park opens, leave in the early afternoon for a nap or swim. Don't commando, plan on skipping the attractions with long lines because you'll be back soon.

If you are talking about lines for the food/wine itself or lines for the attractions, the food/wine lines can get long later in the day, but attractions will be average, and using fastpass makes them very easier at both those times of year.

We were surprised at the crowd level of the parks this past October, and not just EPCOT for F&W. Check out www.touringplans.com and check out their park crowd level charts. A friend of ours and his wife are Disney employees and they said that October is big convention season for the Disney resorts, plus the Funai golf classic hit the week we were there. In the fall, they recommended September. Haven't been in December... All the chatter on the 'boards says that it is busy DVC time, but low overall.

We've visited the first week in December and during the Food and Wine festival and found both to be reasonable for ride lines. We always get to the park at opening and go on rides first (don't stop for characters, food, etc). We usually get to ride 5 to 10 rides in the first two hours. Then we take some character or food breaks. We head by to the resort in the afternoon for naps and swimming and go back at night for "some" rides. We plan that there will be lines at night and there are. We also plan two days for each park, pretty much going to different rides each day so we can see everything with out too much wait.

I know some will say that early December is getting way more crowded but we simply didn't find that to be true. I'm sure its more crowded than years past, but its really not that bad

I just booked our 2nd trip to the world. I told DD 7 we were going again she jumped in the air and hugged me. Her reaction was so cool. Disney truely is magical, now the waiting until Aug. is the hard part. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
