Hello, we'll be staying @ Portofino June 14-18, so we'll have FOTL. Are there lines for the Simpsons ride?

With FOTL you should be in the pre-show room in 5-15 minutes. Without it? It could be anything from 5 minutes to well over an hour. If you've ever been on Back to the Future, just picture that queue only a bit longer since the attraction is new and the franchise a bit more popular.

I suggest getting the fast pass. We went last month and we never waited once for the line up. It is well worth the money.

I think you mean express pass but the op won't need them since staying onsite means you get unlimited express pass that is your room key :thumbsup2

When we were there in November, we skipped right to the FOTL (literally) on everything except the Simpson's ride. I had gotten very spoiled and was kind of bummed when we actually had a line. Not sure how long we waited, but, if I had to guess, I'd say about a half an hour(ish).

Any idea how long the wait was for the standard line?

We were just there May 4th. Monday. We got there at open (9am) and we went straight to the Simpsons. We did the standard line and it took about 15 minutes to get to the pre-show room.

FYI - Universal was pretty dead this day. It picked up towards afternoon but the crowds were pretty light. There wasn't anyone in the streets as we walked back to Simpsons.

We were there last August..Tropical Storm Faye joined us...but to answer your questions we also stayed @ The Portofino and had the express line option (SOOOO worth staying onsite!!!!) The express line was about 5 minutes but the preshow takes forever..it felt like 20 minutes....I can not imagine how long the regular lines are plus the preshow during peak season. Have a great trip

Notice the wait time on the regular line in the background of the picture it was only 10 minutes..August 18, 2008

We were there Tuesday, May 26th....

Walked in at opening 9a....went straight to Mummy - walked straight in....next to Simpsons and there was a 25 minute wait.

Didn't seem long....

Simpsons is my favorite ride!

I was there the last week in April. Crowds were light to moderate through the week. We stayed onsite so had the Express Pass. We waited in line for about 10 mins. Stand-by line was 45 min.
