Can anyone tell me if the crowds are awful, doable , fair or light the 2 days after Thanksgiving? Although we are WDW pros this is our first time to US/IOA and want to have an idea of what to expect.

We have been to all the WDW parks in the summer - This past 4th of July we were at MGM and found it crowded but not overwhelming.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Lines are awful on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Honestly, you will probably need to either stay onsite for FOTL or buy the express pass. The free express passes will be gone early in the day.

You mean there's actually someone who won't be in line with us at 4 in the morning at Best Buy the day after Thanksgiving?

I drag my family out every year for "Black Friday" shopping. I really was in the line at 4 last year. The atmosphere was very festive. My teenage daughter, who had to work later in the day, slept in and came to relieve me in the line before 6. The main thing we were buying was a computer for her to take to school. Then I moved on to other stores.

I've considered vacationing for the long weekend, but would still have to have my shopping "fix". :bounce:

I did Best Buy last year and I would much rather do USO. It really shouldn't be much busier than the 4th of July.

It was my first time at US/IOA and stayed at RPR Sat. night. I was solo and managed to do the major things at both parks in 2 days, including riding Hulk 2xs and DD 3xs, thanks to FOTL!!!

Hope this helps!!! :teeth:

We are going to be there from Tues-Thurs that week. Decided to stay on-site because I become very witchy if I have to wait in line too long. Heading to Cape Canaveral for Friday and then onto the Disney Magic on Saturday. I wouldn't usually stay on site but when I read about FOTL I was hooked. Got a great deal through Paramount travel $162/night on the universal web site same room was $209/night. Staying at the Royal Pacific. Normally I too am shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving - I will miss it. ::yes:: but I think it will be worth it. Although I probably will spending the same amount (lol).
