Just wondering how long, after a new attraction opens, does it take for lines to cool off?
We are going middle June 2011. We won't be staying in the park, but will be there at opening. I think we'll buy the fast pass, though I know currently not available at this island.

Is there a good time of day to just walk around and enjoy the theming?

My advice, from what I understand is happening right now....

The morning on that Island is crazy busy. but around 4pm it starts to mellow, and there is hardly a wait for the rides or anything else. So my advice is to see everything else at IOA first, then head to Harry Potter maybe a little later.

My guess would be that middle June 2011 will be pretty busy still for WWoHP. My experience in late July was that you could walk right in after 2 pm or so, but YMMV. Lines for FJ were consistently the longest, while FotH and DD were long but not ridiculous. An Express Pass might be a good idea, but I would wait until you see the lines for yourself before purchasing one. There is no advantage to purchasing one in advance, as they rarely sell out. While the big draw FJ does not use Express, the other two rides in WWoHP (FotH and DD) do. I also recommend hanging around at night in WWoHP, it looks even better than it does in the daytime.
