Lines at the new ticket center at Disney Springs?

I was so happy to hear that a new ticket center was opening at Disney Springs, because the wait times at the Welcome Center could be very long. Has anyone had experience with the new ticket center? How are the lines?

I have not had any experience, but I can't imagine they'll be very long. A lot of people go straight to the parks and pick up their tickets then, which can cause long lines. Disney Springs will help alleviate those issues, but since it's a separate trip to get the tickets and then go to the park, I don't see it getting super crowded.

I haven’t used the new one yet, but I haven’t had issues with overly long waits at the welcome center. I like the fact that the welcome center has a virtual queue system and you can just relax while you wait instead of standing in line. I don’t think I have waited more than 15 minutes any time I have been there, but I do go on weekdays. Perhaps weekends are busier.

We purchased our passes at the welcome center in October of 2018, and I just loved it! We sat down in a comfortable chair and waited for 5 - 10 minutes, then we were called into another room where we once again had comfortable chairs to sit down in while the CM took care of our transaction. It was by far the most stress-free and pleasant way I have ever done this.

I've always had good experiences at the Welcome Center too. I think my longest wait was 30 minutes. However, I've heard of people having to wait 1-2hrs and not hearing their name being called due to noise. It sounds like having a separate location for tickets was needed, especially during busy times or maybe weekends.

When I went to pick up my AP last summer, there was definitely a bit of a wait. It was fairly crowded, but I think your time waiting depends on what kind of service your getting. Since I was just using my tickets to purchase n AP, the wait was terribly long.

The good thing is, its a nice building. Cool inside, with water and comfortable chairs. A cast member puts you on a waiting list, so you just have to listen for your name being called. But if you are trying to get something done quickly, you may need to strategize more.

We went there to activate military tickets and buy one additional on Easter. It was in the evening and Disney Springs was packed! We first went to the welcome center but they directed us to the ticket center. The welcome center was able to add us to the virtual queue for the ticket center. We waited no more than 5 minutes in the chairs and air conditioning then got everything done easily. Worked out great!
