lines at fastpass machines

Not usually. There are several FP machines at each ride that offers FPs. I've never had to wait for more than 2-3 people to get an FP.

I've never seen them but it does SEEM like there would be lines on very busy days.

I've never seen anything longer than 5 minutes or so, and then its usually due to some guests having issues with their passes or machines, or one person getting FPs for a huge group.

Normally there is little to no wait.

I have never seen bad Fast Pass Lines. The longest lines I encountered were at Soarin' when it first opened. Even then, there were several CM's helping people to get their Fast Passes as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Regardless, I think the general concensus is that the Fast Pass lines are not bad but there may be that one ride exception.

And if it's really important get the Fast Pass early. At certain rides, (like Test Track @ Epcot & Everest @ MGM) I have seen them run out after the park had been open only a few hours.

Off topic but I once heard that that the lines to get a FP in Tokyo during busy season can be 45 minutes and they are frequently out within 2 hours of park open.

The only time I have had to wait longer then 2 minutes to get my FP was when some of the machines were not working. Other than that the lines are not that long, and people move quickly! Happy Planning!

I saw long lines at the FP machines at Everest. The FP lines were almost as long as the standby lines.

Ditto, we were there over Easter week and waited in line for 20 mins. to get a fast pass for EE (one of the machines actually ran out of paper!) While in line we watched the time increase steadily. We got a FP for 11:35 - 12:35 at 9:20. When we return.... sold out!

Last August in that awful heat I waited 20 minutes for a fastpass for Everest.
It was insane, we were packed together in so many rows, so close together and it was so hot!
Space Mountain can be a 15-20 minute wait also.
So there is a wait at some Fastpass machines.

Last December there was a huge line for Fast Passes at Expedition Everest and if I were to guess how long it was, I would say it was about 20 - 30 minutes.
