what are some "games" or thngs you do while waiting in line for a ride, show, waiting for a parade to start etc.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Scissor/Paper/Rock. And when we get bored of that we do Two Handed Scissor/Paper/Rock. It's much harder. :teeth:

While I'm not a fan of extended wait times I do find the time spent in line is great for finding out more about what's going on in my son's life, what he's thinking, who he is. It CAN be precious family time if you're ready to make the most of it. :)

We've played I Spy, talk about the surroundings, talk about where we are going next or going to eat next, talk about the hotel, talk to other guests or entertain thier kids. Sometimes, all it takes is a change of scenery and moods can change in a heartbeat! I can't think of one time where I was miserable standnig in line. Even the time we waited FOREVER for Test Track. Heck, we're at Disney! I could wait all day!

We play that game where you have to name things in a certain category. For example, if the category is Disney characters, each person takes turns naming characters. The first person who can't name one, repeats one that has already been named or names something that isn't a character loses.

We will also have my son find things on the maps and figure out how to get there.

The game that goes, "I am thinking of...." then fill in with, say, an animal or something that moves people places or whatever and the guessers have to ask yes or no questions to figure it out. That one is pretty darn amusing with a three year old! The questions asked are not what you would expect!

We do a guessing game that gets pretty fun, and people in line with you might just start playing.

You can do this will Disney characters, or just animals.

One person thinks of the animal, for example, and everyone else can ask any yes or no answerable question they can think of until someone finally pieces together all of the clues to guess it right. Then they get to think of the new animal.

Sounds really simple, but we've passed LOOONNNGG rode trips (and being stalled in traffic) this way many times.

I play a game where you pick a category .... for example presidents... and you name presidents and you get a certain amount of time. If you can't name something you're out. It get really hard under the wire!

we take tiny little containers of bubbles (the birthday party favor necklace type) and blow bubbles which my youngest thinks is hysterical.

We also use that time to talk about the trip so far and what we have liked, what we want to do again, what we are still looking forward to.

I always keep a few things I have planned as a secret. Then when we are waiting for an extended time we will play a guessing game for the kids to figure out what it is. This trip it is CRT and CP character meals and horseback riding. They love these little surprises.

With us to tell corny jokes and he plays trivia games with you if you want.::yes:: :wave2:

Oh no, not the bubbles-thing again. Please keep the bubbles for home and not in the ride lines. Some of your neighbors in line might not care to get covered with soap.

and we are considerate enough to never blow them where they might ever have the chance of hitting other people. If I blow them directly at my 2 year old I doubt that they are going to hit you. We've never had a problem and have been doing this for years.
And will continue to do so.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/29/29_4_59.gif' border=0></a>

Oy....the Great Bubble Debate. Let's keep to the topic of what to do in line rather than get into a debate about the joys or horrors of bubbles.

Thanks! :)

simply my input. Apparantly it's a hot topic that I was unaware of. I'll not bring it up again.
